The committee are CU members with specific roles to do in order to help coordinate all the CU does. Please pray as they meet weekly to discuss, pray and plan for the year ahead.

However the CU really belongs to everyone so please get involved! If you have any ideas for events or want to get stuck in with the music, posters or outreach we’d absolutely love to hear from you!

ANDREW WOOD-MARTIN  |  PRESIDENT

Hey! My name’s Andrew, and I’ll be the president of the TCDCU this year. I’m from Sligo and I am in my second year studying European Studies. My job involves chairing the committee meetings, booking speakers and overseeing the general running of the committee. I can’t wait to see what God does on campus this year!

ATHENA RICHARDS  |  TREASURER

Hi! I’m Athena, I’m from the great metropolis of Ballymena, County Antrim and I’m in third year Engineering. I’m treasurer, so I’m in charge of the finances and money and everything else spreadsheet related. I’m so excited to be serving the CU in this way as we seek God together throughout this year.

DAITHÍ GREEN  |  VP & SMALL GROUPS CO-ORDINATOR

Hello! My name is Daithí, I’m from County Down and I’m a 4th year studying Music here at Trinity. I’m the Vice-President and the Small Groups Coordinator this year. As Vice-President I just have to be ready to take over incase Andrew dies or something. As Small Groups Coordinator, I do just that – coordinate the Small Groups! Small groups are meetings of roughly 5 to 10 people who meet up, hang out, study the Bible and pray together. We run four different Small groups per week and all are welcome.

HANNAH HESSION  |  SECRETARY

Hey there! My name is Hannah and I am the secretary for the Christian Union this year. I’m in my second year studying Human Health and Disease. I live in the wonderful place that is Greystones, Co. Wicklow. I am super excited to be emailing all you guys with weekly society updates, looking after room bookings, keeping minutes at committee meetings and making sure that everything we do as a society fits within the aims we have decided on in our constitution.

JOHNNY WHITE  |  P.R.O & EVANGELISM CO-ORDINATOR

Hi! My name’s Johnny and I hail from the drumlins of Co. Cavan. I’m in second year studying Computer Science & Business here in Trinity. As Christians, the life changing message of the Gospel is something we’re excited to share with others. This year my role involves encouraging the CU to share their faith on campus. I’ll also be involved with planning our annual events week in February. As P.R.O, I spend my evenings drinking tea & composing cheesy Facebook & Insta posts on my laptop. I’m also in charge of the website, so I can do fun things like change the colour of the text in my bio!!

KATHRYN YEOW  |  MUSIC CO-ORDINATOR

Hey! My name is Kathryn, I’m from Belfast, going into third year Science with Chemistry as my moderatorship. This year I’m the worship coordinator for CU – this involves planning a time of praise at weekly meetings (i.e making sure the keys of songs are female friendly) and other events like the Carol Service. I’m keen for us to explore what it means to worship in ‘spirit and in truth’ and also look forward to creating that lit CU Spotify playlist.

REBEKAH SHARPE  |  FRESHERS & PRAYER OFFICER

Heya! My name is Rebekah, I’m from Holywood, going into second year law. This year I’m the freshers and prayer officer for CU- this involves organising a weekly prayer meeting and welcoming fresh faces into the CU. I’m passionate to see the power of prayer on campus, and look forward to welcoming you to College!

TAMSIN MARTIN  |  INTERNATIONAL OFFICER

Hey! I’m Tamsin and I’m from Fermanagh. I’m in my third year, studying French and German and this year I’m the international officer. This basically means I’m going to be here to offer help to international students and organise some events so that they can discover Dublin a little bit more and get to meet other students. It can be quite daunting coming to a new country as an international student, but here at CU we want to welcome you with open arms and let you know that you’re not on your own – I’m super excited to see who God will bring to Dublin this year and look forward to meeting you!
